About Me
Originally from London, I have lived on the isle of Man since 1998 and made my home here on this beautiful island. I am married and have a son.
My Journey
I worked most of my life as a Chartered Accountant, working in public practice, helping small and medium sized businesses.
However, a few years ago, after feeling burnt out and disillusioned with life, I decided it was time to make some changes. This started by attending a transformational Men’s Retreat. This retreat highlighted what I valued in life and how much I enjoyed helping others, so I decided to explore a different path and started training to become a life coach. Completing this training sparked an interest in psychology and a renewed love of learning.
I followed up my coaching training with a Level 3 certificate in Counselling and immediately moved on to a Level 4 Diploma, which I completed with Heartwood Counselling and Psychotherapy. Along the way, I decided to commit to my new Counselling career and left the world of Accountancy. I currently work with an addiction charity, Motiv8, as a Counsellor, alongside my own counselling practice, TherapyMann.
One of the areas I am passionate about is mental health. I volunteer with a local charity, Ed Space, and enjoy integrating my business skills with my counselling skills, helping with the organisation of the charity and tackling the stigma around mental health.
Life is far more varied, rewarding and interesting these days. I am enjoying the journey, living authentically aligned with my values and am excited to see where it leads.
Hours
I have a range of availability, including evenings and weekends.
I like to keep regular slots, where possible, as I find this works best.
Fees
- Individual Counselling / Coaching: £55 for a one hour session.
- Business Coaching: £75 for a one hour session.
Payment should be made at least 48 hours before the session via bank transfer unless otherwise discussed and an alternative agreement made.
Cancellation Policy
Please note that at least 48 hours’ notice is required for any cancellation or rescheduling of sessions. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in the full session fee being charged.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please contact me as soon as possible to avoid any charges.
Location
I offer both in-person and online appointments.
In-person meetings are based at The Roundhouse next to Nobles hospital. There is plenty of parking and good public transport links.
For online meetings I’ll send you a link beforehand and all you’ll need is a browser and a private, quiet location.
